I was OK with that. Its a 802.11"b" protocol not a "g", so you can only get a maximum of 11Mbs(not 54Mbs)transmission rate. I installed this pci card in my old Toshiba 1905-S301 - worked 100% perfect. Download the driver from the Toshiba website.
All in all -- a great product. Installed and did some simple configuring and was able to see more access points than ever, and my own wireless network was recieved with better reception, and less errors than before. Purchased this product even after others indicated that this would NOT work on a A15-S129, but for $8.00, worth a try. This product just plain works.
I am wirelessly typing this review using the product.It was cheap, it works, it is in the box out of sight and cant be lost or missplaced---what's not to like. Just discovered my seldom used satellite could use this add-on. The order came timely and instructions in the package had me installing in less than 30 minutes.
I hope it's a software issue only. It arrived promptly, I installed it. However it only scans for networks and will not connect to any network.
There wasn't any configuration required, as this was a replacement for a like card. Thanks Amazon for a great deal. This card was a bargain at 4.99usd (+shipping). I'm now working back in business with integrated WiFi on my Toshiba notebook. The card arrived promptly and after a brief review of the included instructions, I was able to install the card in about 5 minutes.
